Who are we?
We are a team of students at Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart, Germany. This project was part of the Campaign Management course in the winter semester 2022/2023, supervised by Professor Volker Jansen. Because this is an international course, we are a diverse group with students from countries such as Germany, England, India, Croatia, Armenia, Bulgaria and many more.
To make such a huge project work, expertise from many different areas is needed. That’s why our course consists of students from five different degree courses: Advertisement and Marketing Communication, Media Economics/Management, Print Media Technologies, Cross Media Journalism and Media Engineering.
What did we do?
It all started with a Zoom call held with a slightly off the wall author telling the project group about a book he’d written. ‘London Out of Time draws a picture of a crazy world just like ours’, Andrew Weale said. And then it was up to us to create a 360-degree campaign around a book nobody really understood, but everybody was definitely fascinated by.
After agreeing on a general concept, we split up into six groups and made the magic happen. From photo shootings to calculating our working hours, everybody was working towards one goal: representing the crazy character of the book through every channel.
